On December 1^st, 2011, VAG China held the groundbreaking ceremony for the third manufacturing facility (T-III) in Taicang, Jiangsu province. Chairman of VAG-Group, Mr. Mertens, and General Manager of VAG China, Mr. Du, along with General Director of our construction contractor, Mr. Chen, attended the opening ceremony.

The VAG-Group has been accelerating its business expansion in China’s dynamic market, while leveraging its leading technology in the globe valve industry. In 2009, the second plant in Taicang, known as TC-II, was completed with an area of 15,986 square meters and started to manufacture valves in large diameters up to DN 4000.

The construction of the new facility, T-III, is part of VAG’s overall strategy to expand its capacity in its growth region. T-III will cover 11,262 square meters, including 10,038 square meters of manufacturing facility with 3 additional production lines: gate valves, butterfly valves and gearboxes, and 1, 224 square meters of office buildings.
