The China Urban Water Association held a conference from November 9 to November 11 on pipe supply selection, optimization and application. The participants included heads of water plants and valve suppliers. VAG, as the only European council member of CUWA, attended the seminar as well. On the last day of the seminar, the group of 61 participants headed by the association visited VAG China in Taicang. Read more
On September 14, 2011, VAG-Armaturen GmbH was awarded ISO 14001:2004 accreditation by TÜV SÜD. This certifies the introduction and implementation of an environmental management system (EMS). Read more

At the beginning of this month, VAG supplied the first DN 2000 butterfly valves made entirely of duplex stainless steel. In the year 2007, construction work for a new coal-fired power plant began in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Besides coal, the power plant is also to be fired with biomass and is designed to achieve an efficiency of 46%. Read more
