Are there defined flow velocities for shut-off valves?

The DIN EN 1074-1 set of rules defines the permissible flow velocities for shut-off valves and butterfly valves. For example, on taking account of the full nominal pressure rating, the permissible flow velocity for pressure rating PN 10 valves is a maximum 3 m/sec.
